Garderos Router Software (GRS)

Garderos Router Software (GRS) is the operating system of all Garderos routers. GRS provides independent from the router series, exactly the same interfaces and APIs. GRS provides various standard protocols like SNMP, RADIUS, SSH, etc. and extensive management interfaces for centralized management, updates and configuration.

Networking: IPv4, IPv6, SLAAC, dual stack, interface management for radio modems, xDSL, Ethernet, VLAN and WiFi; Routing: static routing, RIPv2, OSPFv2 and BGPv4; Tunnel: GRE, IPsec IKEv1 and IKEv2, OpenVPN layer 2 and layer 3; Services: DNS, DynDNS, DHCPv4/v6, NTPv4 and cron; Security: stateful firewall and NAT, SSL, X.509 certificate; Management: CLI, serial console, SSH, Telnet, SNMPv2/v3, syslog and central configuration server, administrator authentication by local password, RADIUS and TACACS+ with up to 16 privilege levels; Availability: Failover via multiple uplinks, watchdogs.

The full feature set of GRS is available in the router data sheets.

Garderos Configuration Server (GCS)

The Garderos configuration server is designed for managing thousands of Garderos routers with minimum effort. The configuration server provides custom configuration files to the routers, based on templates and the integrated database, protecting the communication by certificate based authentication and encryption.

OS: Ubuntu Server 22.04 and higher, CentOS 7 or higher; Services: MySQL, Apache Tomcat 9, Syslog; Scalability: depending on configuration, min. 10,000 routers per server, redundancy; Protocols: HTTP(S), SSH, SQL, OCSP, syslog; Security: SSL, passwords and X.509 certificates; Core features: Router configuration, firmware updates, file distribution, router group management, router identification by name, serial number, MAC, IP and IMSI, monitoring, customizable web GUI, individual administrator rights.
